## The need for a tool that understands real practice.

CortexApp was created by PhDr. Marja Volemanová, PhD., a physiotherapist, special educator and founder of Cortex Academy. The idea grew from her everyday work with clients and the need to give them clear instructions for home exercises.

It wasn’t built as generic software that a therapy practice has to squeeze into. CortexApp connects practice management with what happens between visits. Therapists have a clear overview, clients know what to do, and important information isn’t scattered across several channels.

Technology should free therapists to work with clients, not add another system to manage.

Professional background

## Built on years of experience with NVS.

Marja Volemanová is originally from the Netherlands and has lived in Prague since 1999. She studied physiotherapy and special education at the Faculty of Education, Charles University.

In 2020 she defended her dissertation on Neurodevelopmental Stimulation in the Work of a Special Educator.

Since 2009 she has run Cortex Help, a counselling practice focused on inhibiting primitive reflexes through Neurodevelopmental Stimulation.

Cortex Academy raises awareness of NVS, organises courses and seminars for professionals and parents, and publishes specialist materials.
